Hunterdon County, NJ bathroom remodels can range from $5,000-$10,000 for cosmetic upgrades and $15,000-$30,000 for a full remodel.

Among the many factors involved in the total cost of a bathroom remodel, size, featured materials and fixtures play a huge part. Square footage is the most obvious-the larger the space, the more things can fit in that space (tile, larger vanity, storage cabinets, tub, larger shower, etc.). Materials are also a major consideration. The more expensive the selected tile floor is or the larger the vanity, the likelihood exists of a higher project cost. Fixtures include the finishes of the hardware on the sink, vanity, shower and walls and lighting options.

Budget friendly bathroom remodels may only include cosmetic upgrades with little to no demolition involved. Aspects like painting the walls, replacing the vanity, changing the vanity light and upgrading the flooring can have a massive impact on the feel of the space as well as the value it adds to the home. You can expect to pay anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 to breathe new life into your existing bathroom without major demo or changing the floor plan. The smaller the scope of the project, the lower the overall cost will be, and vice versa.

Total bathroom remodels may include a more in-depth scope of work resulting in a higher price tag. A total remodel can involve municipal permitting, demolition, an updated floor plan, shower or toilet relocation and a flooring upgrade. This is where multiple trades typically get involved, especially if electric or plumbing lines need to be moved to improve functionality of the space. A total bathroom remodel can cost anywhere from $15,000-$20,000 for a full bathroom and between $25,000-$30,000 for a larger master bathroom depending on the selected materials and fixtures.

Although this isn’t an exhaustive list of things that can be done in the scope of a bathroom remodel project, it does outline an approximate range that you can expect to pay in New Jersey for 2024. Just remember, it doesn’t take much to change the look and feel of your bathroom. Budget friendly bathroom remodel options can have a big effect. However, if you’re looking to add some serious value to your home, a brand new bathroom may be the way to go. Be sure to budget accordingly and try to hire a contractor who prioritizes your vision and can help steer you in the right direction.
